Stephen Roth, Principal of Carmel Software, will be leading a seminar at the annual ASHRAE meeting in Dallas talking about mobile applications for engineers. The seminar, titled "New Mobile Applications for HVAC Field Work and Building Retrofits", will feature 3 presenters focusing on mobile applications for HVAC field work. As mobile devices such as smartphones and tablets evolve, so does the software (or apps) that runs on them. More and more businesses are using these mobile devices to accomplish work in the field, thus saving time and providing instant reports and proposal for clients. The HVAC industry is no exception since many field-based HVAC apps are available for technicians and engineers to use. This seminar highlights the types of apps being used by these professionals and the challenges presented to developers of these apps. The seminar is sponsored by ASHRAE technical committee 1.5, "Computer Applications", and will take place at 8:00 am at the ASHRAE headquarters hotel in Dallas.

"I am excited to share our experiences developing and using mobile load calculation applications with the ASHRAE audience. I have a lot of insights to share on how mobile technology presents both benefits and challenges to HVAC engineers," explains Stephen Roth, P.E., Principal of Carmel Software.
