Stephen Roth, Principal of Carmel Software, will be leading a seminar at the annual summer ASHRAE meeting in Denver talking about building information modeling (BIM) and integrated project delivery (IPD). The seminar, titled "Advancements in BIM Interoperability Solutions to Aid in Integrated Project Delivery (IPD)", will feature 3 presenters focusing on BIM and IPD. BIM software tools are being adopted by architects, engineers, and contractors for purposes of integrated project delivery. There are a number of software tools from many different vendors that provide BIM and building analysis software that aid users in building energy modeling and IPD. Interoperable schemas such as Green Building XML (gbXML) are open and free, and they are the "glue" that allow these tools to communicate with one another. This seminar will discuss the latest advancements of such software technologies.

The seminar is sponsored by ASHRAE technical committee 1.5, "Computer Applications", and will take place on Monday, June 24, 2013 at 2:15 pm at the ASHRAE headquarters hotel in Denver.
